When choosing the BackBerry Playbook template when creating a new project, the setup does not recognize an already installed SDK. Also, the URL given in the wizard to get the SDK leads to a page that cannot be found.

Hi Mat,

thank you for your feedback!

We are working together closely with RIM to provide additional features for targeting Blackberry products with FDT. The SDK installer will add additional plugins to FDT to provide a smooth integration. Unfortunately those plugins are not available yet. Please watch this ticket, we will be able to give you an update on that soon.

Thanks for your diligence Philipp. I'm a bit surprised that I face those issues, as it's one of the bullet points/selling points of FDT 5.5.

I could not create one with the wizard, however I imported the project I had started with FDT 5 and managed to publish something:!/jansensan/status/192351810575548417

I also tried creating a simple AIR project and then use the Playbook SDK, and importing the proper .SWCs, but that did not work either...

I'm looking forward to that update!

Hey guys,

It was a little miscommunicate on our part - as Philipp already mentioned. The Playbook implementation can't be used until RIM releases their new installer - which is happening very, very soon.
